Position Description:
Telemedicine physicians provide medical care to patients who may not be able to access a traditional in-person physician. Telemedicine allows individuals to receive medical advice and treatment without having to leave their homes or make long trips to see a doctor. You will provide virtual medical consultations and treatments to patients from all over the world as a Telemedicine Physician.
Your main job as a Telemedicine Physician is to diagnose and treat diseases and recommend lifestyle changes. You will be working with patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, as well as people with chronic conditions. Excellent communication and listening skills are required in order to assess each patient’s health needs and advise them accordingly. You will need to be comfortable using video conferencing software so that you can interact with your patients remotely.
In addition to traditional medical duties, you will need to stay up-to-date on current trends in digital health technologies. The use of technology in the healthcare industry is affected by the regulations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
