Position Description:
The Manager, Major Incident Response is an important role that requires a highly organized and capable individual to lead a team of technical experts in responding to major IT incidents. The person will be responsible for managing the response process, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that the incident is addressed and resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The Manager, Major Incident Response needs to be a collaborative leader who can communicate with stakeholders, understand their needs and expectations, and develop processes that meet those requirements. They need to have strong problem-solving skills and be able to identify root causes of major incidents. Excellent organizational abilities and an in-depth understanding of IT security protocols and procedures are required of the successful candidate.
The IT Security team, Systems Engineering team, Network Operations Center team, and Application Support team will work closely with the Manager, Major Incident Response. This position requires someone who is comfortable working with multiple teams and is able to quickly adjust plans and strategies based on changing conditions. In order to provide the latest guidance to the team, the successful candidate must remain up-to-date on industry best practices.
This is an incredibly challenging role that requires a well-rounded professional who has the right combination of technical knowledge and soft skills.
