Position Description:

The cleaning and detailing of aircraft interiors and exteriors is done by aircraft appearance technicians. A commitment to providing excellent customer service is required in this job. While caring for aircraft, you will be expected to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency.

As an aircraft appearance technician, your duties will include cleaning and polishing the aircraft’s exterior, interior cabin, and cockpit, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, applying protective coating to surfaces, and performing minor repairs. You need to be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Ensuring that safety protocols are followed, as well as assisting with loading and unloading cargo and baggage, are some of the duties that aircraft appearance technicians may be required to perform. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are required for this role.

It is important that you have a good knowledge of the regulations, safety protocols, and procedures related to the aviation industry. You should be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. It is necessary to be able to work alone or in a team.

It can be physically demanding and rewarding to work as an aircraft appearance technician.
