Position Description:

The assistant director is in charge of the Catering and Convention Services. This position is responsible for driving profitability, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in all areas of convention services within a hotel or resort property. The assistant director will be in charge of managing a team of professionals, developing and executing sales strategies, and ensuring that maximum revenue is generated from all convention services operations.

Excellent communication skills, a strong business sense and the ability to think strategically are what the ideal candidate should have. They must have an understanding of the competitive landscape. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must for this role.

The Catering & Convention Services assistant director will be the point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. The assistant director will be responsible for monitoring and assessing performance against agreed targets and objectives. External suppliers and vendors will be developed and maintained by them.
