Position Description:

Ensuring that an organization complies with all applicable export regulations is the job of a manager. The Manager, Export Compliance oversees the design, implementation and support of internal compliance programs while identifying areas of risk in order to remain compliant with federal laws and regulations. Guidance on export control regulations and processes to internal stakeholders is provided by this position.

The Manager of Export Compliance will have good knowledge of international trade and export laws. They need a good understanding of the US export control system. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and be able to multi-task.

Ensuring full adherence to all applicable laws and regulations is the goal of the Manager, Export Compliance position. In order to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers, vendors and partners. The Manager, Export Compliance will review and approve export transactions, develop training materials and provide training to staff members in the organization, analyze and interpret export regulations, and help create and maintain policies and procedures related to export compliance.

The Manager, Export Compliance will need to stay up to date with changes in export regulations, assess the impact of those changes on the organization, and provide timely updates to senior management. To ensure that all relevant stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities under applicable export regulations, they should be prepared to work closely with internal teams such as finance, legal, operations, sales, engineering and logistics. The successful candidate must have good problem-solving skills.

The Manager, Export Compliance is a critical position in any organization that deals with exports.
